It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the
Pore-Forming Toxins: a meeting in memory of Gianfranco Menestrina, PFT2014.
July 2014 will be ten years from the motorcycle accident that took the life of Gianfranco. It was a great loss for us and for the scientific community in general. We would like to remind him by presenting and discussing the kind of science that he liked most: that of the biophysical and biochemical basis of the action of toxins on biological membranes.
Accordingly we are organizing a 3-day Workshop on Pore-Forming Toxins, their cellular effects and their biotech applications.
The meeting will be held in Trento (Italy) and will take place from 28th to 30th August, 2014. Trento is one hour of train (or bus) from Verona airport, which is regularly connected to many European capitalsls.
In August Trento is normally a pleasant town with mild climate, there are also a number of places for reasonably cheap good food and wine, which should make the whole stay enjoyable.
